There are two fundamental components here. First, I enjoy the process, no matter whether I'm recording videos, organizing a meetup, or programming - all this is fuel that allows me to move forward. Second, those things that bring in money allow me to support my family and maintain a balance between work and creativity.
The main area of activity for the last six months is the development of a video studio. Despite the fact that the WordPress Moscow YouTube channel is already several years old, professional video recording is a completely new area for me. I am currently pumping up the technical component. I hope this is noticeable in the quality of the videos that are released on the channel.
Our plans for the rest of the year include developing a YouTube channel, social networks, looking for sponsors, and offering new meeting formats: karting, bowling, paintball, playing mafia, alternating them with classic meetups.
— While the global community is only planning whatsapp number list the resumption of physical meetups, we are already holding them in full swing. What is the idea behind the upcoming meetup and are there any plans for the next ones?
Yes, by the end of 2019 we reached a stable 50+ participants. And the first live meetings this year gathered 10-15 people, there were few people willing to speak and we had to experiment with formats. For example, there were board games, or at one of the meetings we sat down in a small circle and talked about WordPress for 2.5 hours. Just throwing out topics, asking questions, telling cases and sharing experiences. There is no global idea for the upcoming meetup, but there are ambitions. I hope that the 20th meetup will be a serious step in the development of the WordPress community in Moscow.
