The importance of content in SEO

Post by sakib25 »

If content has been important for SEO for years, it is now becoming more and more relevant when it comes to positioning. Google is giving it more importance.

But let's take it one step at a time and start at the end: content must always provide value to the user and NOT all content is worth it. And it's logical, because, as users and with the amount of content that the search engine offers us today, we are becoming more demanding and we want to quickly find what will help us in our search. So, we have to write for the user and not for Google, and we are going to give you some small clues on how to do it.

Providing key value for SEO
Let's imagine that we want to buy a refrigerator and, to do so, we are going belize phone number list to put ourselves in the mind of a user who has the same intention and ask ourselves what questions they will have in order to try to answer them: what types of refrigerators are there? What things do I have to take into account when buying a refrigerator? How do I know the consumption of a refrigerator? Where can I find a good and cheap refrigerator? If in our content we give answers to questions like these, Google will understand that we are providing a key value because we answer possible doubts that the user may have and, in addition, we always include keywords in a natural way.

With this type of content we are going to achieve several things: the first is the time the user stays on our website, which will be relatively long and Google likes that; and the second is that they will leave either with one of our refrigerators or at least happy because we have helped them resolve all their doubts, so we will do branding and that is something that never hurts.

What you should not do with your content
What should we not do with our content? Over-optimize it and fill it with keywords as if there were no tomorrow, since that can end with a penalty from “friend” Panda. It is recommended not to use more than 3% of keywords per content and they should always be inserted naturally, so we should never include a keyword in a forced way; if it doesn’t look good, it’s better not to include it. The importance of content in SEO is what really helps it to position itself.

It is also highly recommended to combine the content with images, video tutorials or even infographics if the topic we are going to discuss allows it.

Categorizing our content with H1 and H2 tags and including keywords in them can also be very helpful, as can titles, descriptions, etc. If it is new content such as a blog post, it is important to include the most relevant keyword in the URL. However, if it is a page that Google already knows, it is better not to edit it or fill it with redirects (even if the URL is not very optimized), since Google is giving less and less importance to keywords in URLs.
