Armando Salvador, specialist in e-Commerce & Omnichannel

Post by sakib25 »

I started in the digital world in 2007, when I created my own agency specializing in the implementation and monitoring of e-Commerce projects. Four years later, I became an official international trainer for PrestaShop , the leading open source platform for building and developing e-commerce sites, where I trained all the agencies in the world in this field.

From there, my agency became one of the first to offer these services in Spain, and later, in Latin America.

What were your duties?
During this stage I specialized in the sales and digitalization section of a brand, which at belize consumer mobile number list that time was differentiated between digital and non-digital . In this way I was able to touch both the marketing, accounting and billing aspects, without deviating from the same performance.

With that experience, and over the next nine years, I continued to grow as a professional and consolidate my knowledge, until in 2019 I had the opportunity to start working at VTEX.

Being part of one of the main Latin American companies specialized in the creation of e-Commerce opened the doors for me to lead projects of a much higher level, among which the project with Ametller Origen, Unilever or Whirlpool stand out, among others.

Thanks to this opportunity, I was able to fully understand the entire approach required for the creation and management of a company or project, both from the original digital part, in times where there was a differentiation between On and Off, or as now with Omnichannel .

What motivates you most about e-Commerce?
What motivates me most in my sector is the need to constantly learn . The e-commerce sector is one of the fastest, as the competition situation, unlike other digital sectors, is much greater. After all, it is about getting sales or getting people to use our product or service.

This means that all brands are fighting to be the first, and those of us who are part of it have to be perfectly aware of everything that is happening around us (digitally, branding, SEO, etc.).

All of this has allowed me to always be up to date, as well as being able to share the knowledge acquired with the rest of the digital community through teaching.

What advice would you give to a student interested in training in this sector?
The most important thing is that the student understands and comprehends that in the end, behind the world of e-Commerce there are only two aspects to take into account. The first, the aspect of the brand or identity that has to be sold. The second, sustainability , which is essential for both physical and digital products.

Why IM Digital Business School?
I have been working with IM Digital Business School for many years now. Not only is it a school with a long reputation , but they have also always strived and specialised in bringing the material to the students in the most practical and real way possible .

The fact that all teachers are active professionals helps to connect the practical part of their daily work with the more theoretical and academic part. In this way, students are offered a much more complete, rich and reference-filled experience .
