Insulating material in prefabricated chambers

Insulating materials are placed in the enclosures to reduce conductivity and thus minimise energy consumption in the cold production systems.



The most commonly used system for cold storage construction is prefabricated sandwich panels .

These panels are easy to install, maintain, hygienic and reduce installation costs. In the case of these systems, it is essential to choose the right thermal insulation when constructing a cold storage room, paying attention to the following aspects:

Type of insulating material
Sandwich panel thickness
Heat losses through the sandwich panel
Construction process of thermal insulation
Densities used
Joint bonding systems
Polystyrene systems are normally used , with a vp security email lists thickness of 50 mm to 250 mm, or polyurethane systems with a thickness of 30 mm to 180 mm.

They are very easy to install, very quick to assemble, easy to maintain and have an affordable price.

Target conductivity values
As a general concept, to reduce energy consumption as much as possible , we must choose an insulating material that allows a heat flow value that can pass through the insulation of approximately 6 kcal/h m2 for freezing cold rooms and 8 kcal/h m2 for refrigeration cold rooms.

Any investment made in insulating material will reduce energy consumption throughout the useful life of the installation and, therefore, a detailed study of this aspect must be carried out to achieve an adequate economic balance between initial investment and installation savings.

Evaporator
This component is a heat exchanger that absorbs heat from the medium in which it is located, thereby cooling it, transferring that heat to the refrigerant fluid. These systems are normally forced air circulation by means of a fan, and finned tubes are used to increase the exchange surface. Heat pumps
A heat pump is a refrigeration system in which the useful effect sought is not the cooling of the system, but the contribution of heat . In this case, for example, to air-condition a building, the evaporator will be the outdoor unit, which absorbs heat from the air, to later transfer it to the indoor unit, which will act as a condenser. These devices are very efficient , since they absorb heat from the air (free energy) to heat the space where they are installed.
