A few years ago we could not imagine that we could have “smart” watches, capable of performing specific actions and allowing us to read our email from, literally, the palm of our hand; perhaps all of this was part of a “ Back to the Future ” style movie .

But, amazingly, technology has advanced again and today we find ourselves in the midst of the development of the “smart watch” industry .

In it, some companies began to take the lead and without a doubt one of those that knew how to adapt quickly was Apple with its Apple Watch .

With its always “slim and stylish” approach to technology, Apple had to focus on offering a viable option aside from its traditional “ Mail ” application. Firstly because of the college and universities email list functional but somewhat limited features of the latter, and secondly because a large number of people in the world use the services of its arch-rival, Microsoft .

In depth, Outlook for Apple Watch
Today, Apple Watch owners who find themselves in this situation can rest easy, as Outlook for Apple Watch was recently launched . Microsoft Outlook is now available for your Apple Watch thanks to an update to its operating system.

Today, the smartwatch app includes the ability to view your email inbox , access email drafts, emojis, and even the ability to dictate by voice to generate new texts.

You should know that there are differences between Outlook and the Apple Watch's integrated email. Unlike the traditional email application that is integrated into the watch, the new Outlook app on Apple Watch offers the possibility of responding directly and in an enriched manner to emails from the watch itself, something that goes against Apple's general recommendations, which recommend managing all types of tasks from the mobile, leaving the watch as a source of consultation and notifications.

Another aspect that stands out about the Outlook app for Apple Watch is that it incorporates differentiating features, such as its greater support for cloud services (not just iCloud), the automatic email filtering system or an integrated calendar synchronized with the corporate email account.

Although the Apple Watch has been characterized as a compact smartwatch with an excellent design since its campaign and launch, only time and a future study will tell us if users will be able to adapt to reading and responding to an email from a watch.
