No matter how many times you try until you succeed, your delivery processes will only be valuable when they support frequent deliveries. To the dismay of those who make their living as consultants, ITIL failed miserably in its mission to bring efficiency to corporate IT. The DevOps model is a natural reaction to this failure. The success of adopting cloud delivery (and its low cost) is due, in large part, to the fact that its processes have solemnly ignored the ITIL model. And of all the technologies available for corporate IT to begin a transition to the DevOps model, Docker is by far the most convenient, efficient, and cheapest.
