Claranet has become the connectivity provider for the RNIB (an organisation similar to the Spanish ONCE), interconnecting the thirty offices distributed throughout the United Kingdom through its Managed Network services. This is a scalable, secure and highly available solution that allows all RNIB members and users better access to the organisation's applications and websites.

The Royal National Institute of Blind People is the leading charity providing information, support and advice to the nearly two million people with sight loss. They also offer support to help their members travel, shop and manage their money and finances independently. As a membership organisation, they work together with their members to shape the future for people with sight loss. It is therefore very important for the charity to have their apps and websites always available for any user or member who wants to consult information.

In this regard, Claranet has provided benin email address RNIB with a broadband Internet access service to keep the organisation's critical applications always online. It also facilitates access to its website or to the content of the RNIB National Library, which includes the Talking Books service (audio books). All this thanks to Claranet's connectivity services that are implemented on a state-of-the-art communications network.

Jon Curry, IT Director at RNIB said: “Every day, a large number of people rely on RNIB services, including our helpline, library service, online support service and access to information about sight loss. Although our network had been working well to date, it was not meeting our expectations for growth, collaboration, secure data access or high application availability. We therefore decided to approach a full-service Service Provider who could manage our Network services.”
