New management of WEKA Industrie Medien

Beatrice Schmidt will take over the management of the company at the end of the year.
Beatrice Schmidt succeeds Florian Zangerl, who will take on a new challenge outside the media sector from January. Zangerl has reorganised the company, which publishes titles such as Österreichisches Industriemagazin, Solid and Firmenwagen, from a mere publisher of specialist magazines into an integrated media company.

The subsidiary of the German WEKA Group was list of telegram users in malaysia created from the merger of Industriemagazin Verlag and WEKA's magazine division in Austria and today employs around 60 people. In addition to B2B media, the portfolio includes its own content marketing agency (B2Impact), a comprehensive event area and various digital platforms.

"Beatrice has been instrumental in shaping and driving all these developments forward in recent years – without her the transformation would never have been successful in this way," says Zangerl. Since 2011, Schmidt has been dynamically developing the events division, which has become a permanent fixture in the B2B sector with events such as the Gainer Industry Festival and more than 20 specialist conferences annually.

In the Covid year, the company clearly demonstrated its approach to digitalisation: 90% of the planned events took place, albeit in purely virtual or hybrid form. The events are broadcast from the company's own studio, which was built in the summer, and Industriemedien is also the exclusive partner of the German event platform meetyoo for the Austrian market.

"The challenges for media companies have not diminished since Corona, but we have used this year incredibly effectively to rebuild our portfolio around media brands, so I am confident that 2021 will be a truly decisive year for us," says Schmidt about his plans.
