On Friday, March 22nd, Armando Salvador, official Prestashop trainer in Spain and IM professor, was in the Speakers' Corner at Salón Futura at 6:00 PM to talk about "How to create a profitable e-commerce business and not die trying." In the following interview, he gives us a sneak peek of his presentation and shares the latest trends in the world of e-commerce.
What will the presentation "How to Create a Profitable E-commerce Site and Not Die Trying" be about?
In this presentation, I will el salvador mobile database present the reasons why e-commerce businesses end up dying, usually due to poor planning, key points, and a failure to manage efforts on the elements that add value to an e-commerce business as a brand or as a store.
Do you think anyone can create an e-commerce business? What are the essential resources to get started?
Nowadays, anyone can create an e-commerce business ; it's never been easier to access the technology, products, and management companies that e-commerce requires.
As with any other business, knowledge of the product, our buyer, and the competition will be key to its success.
What are the leading e-commerce sites in Spain? What are they doing right?
There are currently several e-commerce companies that are benchmarks in Spain. To give an example that I follow closely, PC Componentes has managed to overtake Amazon in the technology category. Its success lies in knowing the product well, showing and communicating it the way customers want, and having one of the most highly reviewed and reviewed technology catalogs.
Another clear example is the project led by Jaime Cuesta of Mango, where they are actively running campaigns to attract traffic, explain the product to the customer by creating a user experience, and take care of SEO strategies like few other fashion e-commerce companies.
Which e-commerce sites, in terms of product type, are most successful?
Perhaps there is no specific product typology linked to success, but it is clear that taking care of your brand, maintaining the effort to ensure that your products are identified by your own branding and that allows you to maintain your identity over time, will make buyers, knowing the qualities of the product, dedicate themselves to buying the lines you offer and thus increase the Time Customer Value (total amount that a user will spend in your store).
What digital marketing tools do we need to master to boost our e-commerce?
As a minimum, we'll need to master an analytics tool like Google Analytics, as well as its Google Tag Manager component. Of course, we'll need knowledge of paid AdWords and Facebook Ads campaigns, and finally, a good email marketing tool.
Its domain or management can be carried out by an external agency, but each agency must be familiar with at least the management and objective level.
